    Dialers:

When you ever see an image that represents a movie, but when you click on it, you get asked if you want to dowload a .exe file, please NEVER do that! These shitty programs are called dialers and they will charge you a few dollars A MINUTE to see STREAMING shit movies! Webmasters make very good money on that, but it's a ripoff. You are much better off signing up for a paysite for only a few bucks and have access for some days. Then you will be able to download good movies, but with dialers you only download the program and nothing else. You will only get streaming shit for lots of cash.

What is a codec and why do I need it?

A codec is a method of "Compression/Decompression" and is used to make large video files much smaller making them suitable for distribution on the net, either on the web or a LAN or any other method of file transfer like wireless devices etc. Some times when you are trying to play an .avi file the "Unexpected File Format" or a similar error message displays. This happen if you are attempting to play a file for which the proper codec is not on your system. To correct the problem obtain the correct codec. NOTE: Many of the AVI movies posted to the web require special codec drivers not supported by Microsoft and are not installed with the Windows MediaPlayer. The most common codecs used are the DivX 3.11 Alpha, DivX 5.0.2, the INDEO codec and the I263 codec.

    How to rename file extensions

Many people are e-mailing and asking me how to rename files, so I thought that it was time to tell you once for all!

    • Before you can rename the file, you MUST make sure you are ABLE TO SEE the extension. This means that when you see a file in some folder it must look like this: file.ext (where ext stands for extension here, so this can be anything) If you CANNOT see the extension from the files you need to do the following: Go to your "START MENU", then click "Tools". Choose "Folder options" and go to the Tab "View". Then UNTICK the box "Hide file extensions for known file types".

What you can do as well, is open My Computer, go to VIEW, then click on Folder Options at the very bottom and you will get the same menu, where you will have to untick the box "Hide file extensions for know file types".

You are now able to see the extension of the files, so you can do the following to rename the files:

    • Locate the file in the explorer and "right click" on it. A menu will pop up where you can choose different options. One of these options is called "change name" or "rename" or something. However, choose the right one and simply rename it to whatever.ext (ext stands for example avi or mpg). Now your´re ready to rock!
For those who know what MS-dos is.
    • Go to the directory where your movie is stored (for example c:\porn\movies\).
Do this by typing "cd\" "return" "cd porn\movies" "return". Now it should say c:\porn\movies>.
    • Type "dir" or if you have many files type "dir/p" and hit return. You will now see all files in that directory. Long filenames are shortened with a "~".
    • See what the movie you wanna rename is called. If we for example have a movie called "jennaj~1.renametoavi". Then simply type:
"rename jennaj~1.renametoavi jennajameson.avi" and hit return as always. That´s it!

    Downloading tips and programs

It is really not hard to download movies, but you must use a manager. There are many different ones. I use
Download Accelerator, but there are many more out there. These two are the best ones though.

Usefull information about downloading from AOL servers

  • First of all: Check this page out.

  • For starters, if you're using a download manager, make sure the 'Timeout Connection Attempt' is set to at least 60 seconds, that should give AOL enough time to acknowledge your download request and send you the file. [GetRight users - press F8 - expand 'Internet', then click 'Connection' - the setting is here] Also, some advice for 56Kers, download no more than one file at a time! The AOL server is not resumable and tends to kick slower downloaders.

  • AOL is not resumable when you use other download managers but it works when u use FLASHGET. But you must make sure that you only download one segment at a time. When the download dies, just let it reconnect itself. it takes a while but at least it resumes itself from where it left off. The site is www.flashget.com.
